Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving...I have a lot to be thankful for.  For one thing, the woman I belong to loves and takes good care of me.  There are always lots of treats, toys, long walks, hugs, kisses, and back scratches. If she stops scratching my back too soon, I love over my right front paw at her as if to say, "we're not done here."  Sometimes she gives me some of her food, apples and carrots.  These are okay food for dogs.
What are we doing this year...the usual...four walks a day and a treat after each walk, and hopefully a squirrel to chase after at the end of the day.
All I really want is to be loved, hugged, and fussed over.  Snort.

Sunscreen for Dogs

Now it's time for sunscreen.  We go for 4 walks a day, she puts on sunscreen each time we go for a walk.  Good idea.  Now, I have a tan line on top of my head...so, guess who is also getting sunscreen before a walk...me...Just when you thought it was safe to go outside.  Yes, I know it's for my protection, but I don't like the way it feels, too greasy.  I'll have to get used to it.  We do spend a lot of time walking each time.  Can't be too careful.  Don't want skin cancer.  I wonder if too much sun gives dogs freckles?  I can just imagine along with the facial wrinkles Frenchies have, having freckles as well.  Snort.

Senior Dog

Yes, I am a senior dog, and proud of it.  I look good for my age.  Long in the tooth.  I've always had this under-bite. A little grey around the mouth.  I don't have anymore wrinkles then I did as a pup.  Of course, Frenchies are known for their wrinkles.  Can still snort with the best of them. Can still chase after squirrels.  I wonder if I will start getting senior discounts at the Feed?  How about buy one treat, get one or two treats free?  I hope I don't have any senior moments.  Like, now, where did I put my favorite chew toy? I wonder if I'll get a special membership card and subscription to a senior dog magazine?  People have these, I think dogs should have them too.   DAARP would be a good title. Dogs Age Active Rule Public.   Still rocking it as a senior dog.  Snort.

Cleaning House

Time for the once a week dusting and vacuuming.  Always makes us both sneeze.  I don't know which one of us sneezes louder?  I am okay with the dusting, but not the vacuuming.   It is so loud...it hurts my ears.  I always bark as soon as I hear that thing.   I rarely bark.  I wish someone would get the message and stop doing that.  Why not just pick up the lint off the floor by hand?  At least it wouldn't involve using that machine. Well at least the place is clean again, for one more week.
Sigh and snort.

Haircut

Today, we are off to the hair salon so she can get a haircut or a trim, not sure which?
So glad I don't need to do that.  My fur is short enough, besides, Frenchies require very little grooming.  Thank goodness for that.  I would hate to be taken to a groomer every few weeks for a trim.  It's bad enough, I have to get my nails clipped.  I don't like folks touching my paws, they are sensitive.  It's good in a way, as I wouldn't want my nails growing into my paws.  Also, I get a treat afterwards.  Love that!  As long as these 4 paws can get me where I want to go, I am happy. I think with shorter nails I can run faster after a squirrel or a bird.  Very helpful indeed.  Snort.

Crafty/Yarn

Today we are off to the craft store.  She needed more yarn for a baby blanket.  I am her baby, so when am I going to get a baby blanket?  Snort. All kinds of yarn here and lots of color choices.  I wouldn't mind playing with these yarns. Nice and soft. They would be good to pounce on, chew on, and play catch with.  I doubt  I will be getting a chance to do any of that. Snort.

Clocks/Watches

Dogs don't wear watches, however, I always seem to know what time it is.  Walk time, always 4 of them a day, and always at the same time.  So, who needs a watch?  I wish I always knew when bath time was, so I could disappear.  That would be nice.
