Blue Betta

There is this little blue and red creature in a glass bowl doing what looks like acrobatic dance moves. There are even little bubbles it makes at the top of the bowl. It's on a desk and I have tried to get a closer look at it, by putting my face over the bowl, but my head is too big to fit inside to get a closer look. I have to be content just admiring this creature at a distance. I'm not a big fan of getting wet anyway. I wonder how he stands being in water all day? Sure glad it's not me in that bowl.

Tis the Season

Tis the season or twas the season to be merry, give and get presents, and just be grateful for what you have. I got a new bone to chew on, another heggie, a dog can never have too many heggies, some treats, and oh yes, a bath to start the new year off fresh and clean smelling. So what else is new?

I am grateful to have a such a wonderful mom who loves, spoils, and takes such good care of me. What more could a dog ask for...snort.

Sneezing

Ah chu, why is it, whenever I sneeze, I feel like the loud sound of it could send me flying across the room? It's hard to believe, something that loud could come out of a small dog with a pushed in nose, such as myself? Mom has said when I have sneezed, "I hope you don't sneeze yourself right out of your little, brindle fur coat." So true. That concerns me as well. But so far, still me, and not lost my coat or my sense of humor yet. Guess you could say, I have pet allegies, but, not to myself. Thank goodness for that. Ah chu, and God bless me

Bath Time

Bubble, bubble, time for trouble. No, I don't get a bubble bath, thank God for that. I just don't like getting wet, much less taking a bath. If there is a sprinkler on when we go for a walk, I want to turn around and go the other way. So she will either put me on the other side of where the water is coming from or, will pick me up and carry me so I don't get wet. Bath time, no such luck, it's in the water for me. Oh boy. I do smell better after the bath, and I do get a treat, but I still don't like it. What's a dog to do?

Fear of Driving

If dogs could pray, I'd be doing that every time we got in a car. I don't know what it is, maybe a flashback to a bad past life experience, but I always resist getting in the car with her. I know most dogs, love car rides, but I don't. Once in the car, I'm usually gasping for breath looking out the passenger side window until I make my way over to her. Once I am laying across her lap, either holding onto her leg or holding onto the door handle, I'm okay. I feel more secure and protected. Of course, occasionally I look up and out the window and wonder are we there yet? She always has a way of making me feel better, by patting me on the head, and telling me it's okay, we'll be there soon.

Treat Tasting For Dogs

What a concept. Who needs wine tasting, when you can have treat tasting. I'd like to give the person who came up with this idea, a big lick on the face to thank them. Yes, it was held at the Feed. Going there in the afternoon during the week, I had the four plates of different treats all to myself. Well, almost all to myself. I already had one round of treats, when along comes these two guys with their female pit bull. So the lady there gave this dog treats. I'm thinking, wait a minute, back off girl dog, those treats are all for me. Right? Guess not. I let her know this was my territory, so we sort of got into it a bit. The pit bull was bigger than me, but did I care, no. I am and always will be top dog and the alpha male. So I was pulled off of this dog, and guess what, they left, and I got more treats. Yeah. Now, that's what I'm talking about. How does that song go,"start spreading the chews, I'm hungry today, I want to eat every bite of it, L.A., L.A. These vagabound paws, are pulling away, right through the very heart of it, L.A. L.A. I want to wake up in a plate of fresh meat, and find, I'm King of the Hill, -on top of the treats, L.A. L.A. got to love it my way, this way! Snort.

Feng Shui

Feng Shui also known as clutter went that away. We stopped into a bookstore so she could get a book on how to get rid of clutter through Feng Shui. Sounds good to me, as long as I'm not part of the clutter, me or my toys, not a problem. In fact, the more she gets rid of, the more room that will make for my stuff. I figure she can then get me more toys and treats. Can never have too much good stuff.

Dogs don't need Feng Shui,'cause we are already in balance. We already have the best of both worlds, heaven and earth. So, as long as we have enough to eat, long walks, a back scratch, an occasional squirrel or to bird to chase, we are mucho contento. Lots of positive qi, yo dog.
